Sustainable Investments Rewarded: New Subsidy Changes for Heat Pumps in 2024
In a groundbreaking step towards a greener future, the government has announced new subsidy changes for heat pumps, which will come into effect from 2024. These changes are intended to encourage the adoption of energy-efficient technologies and contribute to the Netherlands' ambitious sustainability goals.
Energy label A++ Required for ISDE grant
A striking update is that from 2024, heat pumps must have at least an energy label A++. Although most heat pumps already meet this standard, the subsidy no longer applies to heat pumps with an energy label A+ or lower. However, there is an exception for those who purchased a heat pump with a lower label in 2023 – they are still eligible for a subsidy, provided the installation takes place in 2024.
Subsidy increase for Energy Efficient Models
A positive turn for investors in sustainability is the increase in subsidy amounts for heat pumps with an energy label A++ or higher. The amount has been increased by €450, making the financial support even more attractive. Please note, however, that the previously awarded equivalent bonus for these energy-efficient heat pumps will no longer apply.
Additional Bonus for Top Class: Energy label A+++
For those striving for the highest standards of energy efficiency, there is good news. Heat pumps with the highest possible energy label, A+++, are eligible for an additional bonus of €225. Our A+++ heat pumps meet this standard, allowing investors to benefit not only from the highest energy efficiency, but also from the additional financial reward.
Exceptions: Heat pump boilers and Thermal Power of 71 kW or Higher
It is important to mention that the changes in the energy label do not apply to heat pump boilers. In addition, heat pumps with a thermal capacity of 71 kW or higher remain excluded from these specific subsidy changes.
At a time when sustainability is central, these subsidy changes not only provide financial benefits, but also serve as a powerful incentive to invest in green technologies. This makes the transition to energy-efficient heat pumps not only ecologically responsible, but also financially attractive. Take advantage of this opportunity and contribute to a more sustainable and energy-efficient future for all of us.
